1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Zonair (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

2. Open Source License (Apache 2.0)

Zonair is free and open-source software distributed under the terms of the Apache License, Version 2.0 (the "License"). You may obtain a copy of the License at:

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, software distributed under the License is distributed on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied.

3. Attribution & Open Source Heritage

Zonair is an open-source software project based on the upstream LocalSend repository. In strict compliance with Section 4 of the Apache License 2.0:

  • We gratefully acknowledge the original authors and contributors of LocalSend (Copyright © Tien Do Nam).
  • A complete copy of the Apache License 2.0 is bundled with the Software and available inside the application under Settings → About → Licenses.
  • All prominent modifications, architectural additions, and security adaptations are recorded in the project's source documentation.

4. Independent Software & Trademark Disclaimers

Zonair is an independently developed application owned and distributed by Zoneck Trading LLP.

  • Not Affiliated with Apple Inc.: "AirDrop", "macOS", and "iOS" are registered trademarks of Apple Inc. Zonair is not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by Apple Inc.
  • Not Affiliated with Google LLC: "Android", "Google Play", and "Quick Share" are trademarks of Google LLC. Zonair is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google LLC.
  • Not Affiliated with Microsoft Corporation: "Windows" and "Microsoft Store" are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Zonair is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation.
  • All product names, logos, and brands referenced are property of their respective trademark holders. Identification does not imply endorsement or partnership.

5. Permitted Use & User Responsibility

Zonair is designed exclusively for user-initiated, private peer-to-peer file transfer between devices on a local subnet. By using the Software, you agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the content, nature, and legality of any files, media, or data you choose to send or receive.
  • You will not use the Software to transmit malicious software (viruses, trojans, worms), illegal media, defamatory content, or materials that infringe third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Transfers take place directly between devices on your local Wi-Fi or wired network. You are responsible for ensuring that you only accept incoming transfer requests from authorized and trusted devices on your network.

6. Export Controls & Global Trade Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable national and international export control and economic sanctions laws, regulations, and orders in connection with your download, installation, and use of the Software.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR ZONECK TRADING LLP BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zoneck Trading LLP, its partners, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to loss of data, file corruption, transmission interruptions, or hardware failures.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising under or relating to these Terms or the Software shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
